Anyone care to take a stab at possible line-ups and a prediction?

we lost another light weight, guess he decided to quit with only 2 weeks to go or so, Solly and Smith I hope go at it, besides that only other good match I see is the 2 freshman going at it at 126

I don't think it will be easy at all. If the match ups happen that I predict, Lewisburg wins by 5. In my match ups, I see Milton getting possibly 4 falls, and its the bonus points that make it so close. I see the FF's cancelling out. They usually give up two and so do we. I'm predicting 4 falls for Lewisburg and two major decisions. It is just speculation, of course, based on common opponents and records. The key to a win, as I see it, lies between 120 to 145, where we 'should' have an advantage, but for us its never a given. I predict 38-33 for Lewisburg in a very good match. I have a lot of respect for the Milton wrestlers and I know they'll be ready. It will be close. I'm betting Coach Snyder's team wins!

This is pretty close to how I see it also, BPF. Except I see 126 just the opposite - I guess we are both allowed a homer call there. I have them splitting 145/152 with Porter winning and Zimmerman losing. 106 lew fft 113 double fft 120 roman dec 126 bennett dec 132 Showers by fall 138 Danowski by fall 145 depends on who meets up if porter/fox milton wins dec if zimmerman/fox lew by fall same as above for 152 160 preisch wins 171 english wins 182 ostrowski wins 195 either lew wins by fall or milton wins by fft 220 either solly by dec or Lewis by fft 285 either Lew by fall or Solly by maj

Pops when you look at it, they're isnt very many common opponents, both teams lost very easily to Miff, both teams nipped Montour and both have defeated Bloom, we didnt send 2 kids out to receive ffts against Bloom or the score would of been almost identical to Lewisburg's

I think this match has the potential to be very close depending which team's show up. I hope the outcome is decided and we get to see Smith and Solomon go at it. I could see these two as Tedesco/Parker a few years back wrestling in sectional, district, & regional finals and a decent chance at opposing each other in the state finals.

I thought someone said Solomon was on his way down and around 200 a few weeks ago. If that is the case why not weigh in at 197 for the match and force a Smith vs Solomon match?

I'd bet on Milton running Solomon up to hwt ... And smith at 220

everything depends on how the match is going - Solomon may have to stay at 220 or go HWT, for the team. Smith may stay at 197 for the team, if its a close match - after all Lewisburg didnt wrestle Mankey for the team win and this could potentially be the same. Lewisburg has alot more options to moving kids around and that will help them in this match. 145/154/162 will be interesting on who goes where.......for Lewisburg - the flip - will be the key - both teams want it and need it........

Agree, flip is crucial, a starting weight of 106 or 113 would be nice too. Then hopefully the match will be decided one way or another and hopefully we can see the matchup.

A friend of mine, from Milton, is close to the wrestling team. He said Solomon could make 197 tonite, we'll see. As someone mentioned, it will depend where the match starts, who wins the flip, and the score at the time. While every coach likes to see his guys get good match ups, we can't forget its the team win that is most important to the school, who happens to employ the coach.

I don't think Solomon can make 197 tonight - that's what was said at the Towanda Duals - I like match-ups - but we"ll see a Solomon/Smith match up at districts and regionals, maybe even states - where the one that matters the most is the last one.......

Don't forget they are in the same section as well. How many are going to abandon 195 and jump up to 220 with Solomon, Smith and Longenberger there?
