What is the story with Yoder and Waltman being scratched 4 SoCo? This could cost them a state team title.

I agree, don't punish someone for nothing but let's get it figured out before states. Would hate to see a 5th place kid not get the chance to go if something was wrong. That said I hope it stops with Waltmen and Yoder.

Let’s hope things are figured out before regionals. If there are others then people should for once do the right thing. Stop protecting others if they were at a wrong. They don’t learn from others holding back the truth. Really the parents should do the right thing. As should any kid involved.

I agree with what you are saying but I think if it was that cut and dry the hammer would have fallen at the same time as Yoder and Waltman. That said it would be nice to figure it out before this weekend.

What I’m saying is that parents can hold kids responsible and if their child was at wrong do the right thing and pull them from activities and teach responsibility for actions.

I think it was Clymer that had to sit his junior year at states. He was being homeschooled by dadm and dad didn't like his effort so he declared him ineligible for states academically.
He won states the following year.

I'm late to the game here, but what happened? I assume from some of the replies that it wasn't injuries?

It was Teenagers being Teenagers, it happens everywhere, and those two are paying a heavy price for what they did, taking away a sport which they both clearly are devoted too at a time where their goals cant be reach, I would say a lesson learned, lets leave it alone now

Or just these to caught and no one else talking or taking responsibility for making mistakes. Yes teenagers make mistakes. But if there were others then parents should step up and teach their kids about responsibility that there are consequences to actions. Just because you may be an athlete doesn’t exempt from being punished.

Clearly green card you must have some pretty overwhelming facts to be saying stuff like this. How do you even know the parents know for sure that maybe their kid was involved. Or maybe the parents don’t even know the extent of what their kid was involved.
Or maybe they are issuing a different type of punishment and using sports as a positive reinforcement

Or maybe they are issuing a different type of punishment and using sports as a positive reinforcement So you say if someone does something wrong it’s okay to continue with sports or something like that. Never said parents knew or didn’t know. The hope is no one else is involved and lesson has been learned and no one was hurt.
