Central vs Mifflinburg could be a dandy if they meet in the district duals

District Duals are always a great day of wrestling. That quarterfinal round is nuts.

it will all depends on how the seeds come out, with Miff wrestling at the wrestling festival this weekend, they will probably have at least 2 losses coming into districts

based on current records and future opponents that are somewhat predictable, who's in and who will be home for the district duals, just looking for some thoughts here..

Prob Central -1 Wyal - 2 Miff - 3 Tow - 4. Just a guess but I don't see Central losing. Line Mt. will probably be up there also. Others possibly making the Milton trip are Muncy, Williamson, Warrior Run, Troy, Hughesville or Lewisburg. Am I leaving anyone out? Montoursville, Canton or Milton as a long shot? Only 8 on that day so seedings will decide a lot.

In the individual rankings, will the 2011-2012 records be added so its more relevant to the current rankings? In past years, it was perpetual in that they were updated each week, with the rankings, so we could all follow the top ten kids (AA) in each weight class and how they were progressing this year. I'm not complaining, only asking. I imagine it is very time consuming, and that maybe there is not enough help to do everything. I realize with 14 weight classes and ten rankings each (AA), that constitutes 140 updates each week. Add 56 updates for AAA and it totals 196. Since I work with data and computers I understand there might be time constraints. I, for one, appreciate having this site where all of us can keep up with D4 wrestling, exchange thoughts about the current teams/individuals, and generally get our regular fix of local wrestling results and news. If time is a consideration, is there a way volunteers could help? Just asking. Possibly some of us could assist if its feasible.

With the way everything works out, and after doing some calculations, I can see Miff actually being a four seed with win pct, that would mean a CC-Miff before the finals.. That'd be a shame

it would be ashame but would be an exciting semi-finals - any predictions on the outcome - I think I'd give the edge to Miff........

I think Central would come out the victors, but a very close match.

I give the edge to Miff as well, the schedule they've wrestled this year, they are battled tested, and i think they will win the toss-up matches that will decide the match

I tried to look up future schedules and predict some wins/losses that account to the win pct of district duals. These are the records and win pct I came up with for the seeds. Once again these are guesses not done deals.
#1 Central 21-0 1.00 #2 Wyalusing 17-1 .944 #3 Mifflinburg 13-2 .867 #4 Towanda 21-4 .84 #5 Warrior Run 14-3 .824 #6 Troy (12-3) / Lewisburg (16-4) .8 #7 Troy (12-3) / Lewisburg (16-4) .8 #8 Canton 11-5 .687 #9 Line Mtn 8-4 .667 #10 Hughesville 11-6 .647
I dont know about everyone else but I see a tight race to the District Title. I mean teams like LM and Hughesville could be the 9 and 10. I saw them and they are both good. This could be a very exciting dual championship tournament.
