should he be ranked yes, but bordner is another wrestler who has never made it out of Sectionals, the question is who has he beaten to be getting all the hoopla, being from the southern tier, I dont know much about Sayre, but one can open up the intermat and see who they have wrestled, Blue Ridge twice, Cmvt twice, Bucktail, Sugar Valley, Sullivan County twice, so not like it was against quality opponents

After doing a little research on Buck, I can kind of understand why he isn't ranked, his record is very inflated and has not beat a kid of name. Also he has gone 2 and through at districts every year.. He beat Bordner and Bordner is ranked! Buck is now 21-1, Bordner is 9-3 as of this morning on Scorebook. I have no prob with Buck not being ranked, just don't rank someone he beat. As much as I hate to toot the horn of a Sayre kid, I watched him work this summer and I believe he is gonna surprise some kids come post season. I agree with you here, he either should be ranked ahead of Bordner or any other kid he has beaten or neither should be ranked at all...you can't go buy his record truly. 21-1 with Sayre's record isn't saying much.

Looking at this, he has not beat anyone whose ever made it to regional or even districts, his toughest opponent he lost to. That is my argument against him being ranked. I am not in anyway shape or form saying he's a bad wrestler. I hope he makes a deep run this year. I also do not think bordner should be ranked.

Rankings are an opinion don't put too much stock in them. At the end of the year after districts is obviously when they are the most accurate. Spots are earned by then, so if he is ranked then you can say told you so.

The rankings are nice to view and I think the person responsible for the rankings does a great job, but lets face it what matters is the post season and if Buck is truly the better wrestler at his weight he will be on top when its all said and done.

Not to toot my own horn, but I have Buck 8th in my rankings from about a week ago. New ones should be out this week.
Buck does have a win over Lucas Groover who was a District qualifier for Liberty two years ago, Tim Kramer from Sullivan is 10-4, in another year I'd claim Demetri Probst would be a regional qualifier this year but it's a loaded weight class, and the Vanderpool win is definitely a quality win.
Does Buck have that high profile win? No, but I think he's definitely deserving of being ranked. But I don't know if I'm ready to say he's a top-5 just yet. But he's doing what he's supposed to be doing in beating up on inferior competition and winning when he gets a good matchup.

Hasn't beat a kid of name he beat jevin v-pool and jevin is a good wrestler just too bad he got hurt and womt be back just a question towfan has Jevin ever made it past sectionals Not sure where you are going with that question BPF , but the topics is most underrated wrestler, usually means ppl just post there opinions on who they feel get overlooked and underrated, who cares that maybe jevin might have not made it out of sectionals, that's the past, this year jevin started off having a good year. He beat nocchi from Waverly he wrestled green from NEB this year and gave green a good match. If he didn't hurt his shoulder in football season, this year yes jevin probably would have had a good chance making it out of sectionals! But it's unfortunate his shoulder never healed and it ended his wrestling season!

Jevin made districts last year but not regionals \ what weight, i see it at 152 Believe 152 is right, he wrestled to wts over his head last year. This year he started out 138 where he should of been. Did really well there! Unfortunate his season ended so quickly.

Buck lost to Caleb Willey @135 last yr by a 5-2 score. Close match Willey controlled, won on two takedowns and gave up a late reversal. Willey lost out to Lahr I believe in District and Regional final. Not sure about Regional but Willey did qualify for states?

I came across this string and wanted to add some information I have to it. Buck has wrestled a few good opponents (21-1 now). Buck is small for 138 and will be going 134 easily (may be small for 134) Vanderpool 7-2 Dalton Church 8-3 (district champ) (match should have been 14 -3) Brodner 5-2 (before the 3rd period injury) Kramer 4-1 Lake Lehman would not send out either of their two good wresters and gave him a for. Ryan Hart had the choice to wrestle him but did not. Lost Zach Green who is really good and a little too big for Buck. I saw questions about the Buck vs. Bordner match, so I asked for it to be loaded on Youtube. Here is the link to the match: www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8dxmmqDo_M Post from Sayre may have a chance to make a move as well. Just some info that is fun to talk about. Thanks.

Thanks wfan11. I believe Jesse wrestled Heggs this summer at Line Mt tourney but I can't recall the outcome. I do recall Jesse having a good tournament though. Both 132 and 138 are tough in D4 but I believe he'll do well.
