Does anyone else feel that politicians are pushing a “January worst month for COVID” and is this going to cause a canceling of winter sport season on or before January 4?

Politics aside. I'm very worried about any winter sports happening in January. Then I'm worried about what PIAA will do.
Them pushing Team Post-season Duals was a small step in the right direction, adding two weeks to the season. I'm worried about them making a move to push the whole post-season back another 4 weeks if January is a no go.

Stick a fork in the season....nothing can be done safely with the virus running amuck.
Unless you want to go to Wal Mart of course.

But tournaments haven't stopped, and been running smoothly and safely.
You can also take a packed 50 minute flight, be served a meal, and the whole flight not wearing a mask during the meal.
50 minute flight

I only said Politics because that’s what we hear coming from Politicians about how bad it’s gonna get. I just think for sake of athletes PIAA and Department of Health should be having a conversation now and make a decision how to proceed now not a week from now as not much is gonna change. Like you said there are other tournaments going on and kids could get on teams to compete if they want to get something out of year especially for the seniors looking for college scholarships.
