Canton 37 at Lewisburg 37 Lewisburg won on 8th criteria, which I understand is most 1st points scored (Lbg had 8 Canton 4). Lewisburg won the toss and chose odd - started at 182.
182: Ostrowsky(L) Dec 5-3 Wesneski(C) 3-0 195: Smith(L) Fall 3:05 Route(C) 9-0 220: Hebner(C) by FF 9-6 285: Santorine(L) by FF 15-6 106: Marbaker(C) by FF 15-12 113: Dan Killian(C) by FF 15-18 120: Pettigrew(C) MD 12-1 Roman(L) 15-22 126: Aikey(L) MD 10-2 Gleckner(C) 19-22 132: Darren Killian(C) Dec 10-6 19-25 138: Danowsky(L) Fall :59 Cohick(C) 25-25 145: Fox(L) Fall 3:30 Butcher(C) 31-25 152: Reed(L) Fall 3:00 Campbell(C) 37-25 160: Pepper(C) Fall 2:29 Bernstein(L) 37-31 170: Cole(C) Fall :43 Abbott(L) 37-37
Exciting evening and some good matchups. Smith and Ostrowsky both had good match ups as did Logan Aikey. Reed and Fox both came from behind to get the fall.

nice win pops, but have to bust your chops on this one, Lewisburg actually sent out a kid with a torn ACL to accept a fft at 285

You are correct BPF. It was also coach Snyder's 200th career win! Congrats to a great guy on a major achievement!

I thought he made a great call when he opted to pull Lewisburg out of the team duals, not to sure on this call with sending out a kid who just Tuesday tore his Acl, what if Canton would of double fft at 215 and sent that kid out at 285

True, but he was suited up, wrapped and ready to go it appeared. I don't know Canton's Heffner, but Canton could have gone no match at 220 and then sent Heffner out at 285. Like I said, I don't know Heffner, perhaps he was a 195 lber bumped up to take the FF at 220, but if he was a 220 lber they could have sent him out at 285. Santorine had to be cleared. I've seen kids, especially at Sectionals and Districts that had similar injuries and wrestled. The kid from South Williamsport a couple years back comes to mind, but there are many others. Its ok if you bust my chops, I can take it. And yes, I forgot, Congrats Coach Snyder on your 200th win tonite!! nice win pops, but have to bust your chops on this one, Lewisburg actually sent out a kid with a torn ACL to accept a fft at 285

blackpantherfan you are on this forum multiple times a day so you obviously are a wrestling fan, so I am going to assume you have been around the sport awhile. You can't truley think that no other teams send injured wrestler out to get a forfiet. It happens quite often and I am sure Milton has done it before too. It is not wrong and it violates no rules,

I agree you do what you have to do to win with in the rules, congrats Coach Snyder on your 200th win. Is it possible he's going to try to wrestle on it, I thought Kellon Ballum had a knee injury and wrestled on it because he couldnt do any more damage.

A lot of times if a knee injury is severe enough (as in a torn ACL) the doctors will let you wrestle because you can't do any more damage to it. It's all about whether or not you can tolerate the pain.
I remember Mike Viti from Berwick wrestling his entire senior season with a torn ACL and the only match he lost was when his knee cap slid out of place and locked up his knee. He didn't wrestle the postseason but Berwick had a pretty good team that year and he just wrestled for the team. Viti was a beast, though, if anyone remembers him.

Canton did not have anyone heavy enough to bump to heavyweight. Route weighs 190 and Hefner weighs 188. No way the heavyweight for the Green Dragons would have actually wrestled, he looked in pain every step he took. Heard he had a hard time even stepping on the scale. No whining here though, Canton had chances to win even with giving up the ff at heavyweight. Wasn't sure what would happen with the matchups up top. Was glad to see the matchups at 182 and 197 actually happend. Good for the wrestlers and fans. Congrats to coach on win 200, just wish it would not have happened against Canton.

It is not wrong and it violates no rules, I dont care really, just thought it was funny, that in one breath, folks were praising Snyder for pulling out of the team duals to let his kids heal up, then the very next day, they send out a kid with torn ACL just to get a win, I personally thought it was funny

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with sending an injured kid out to receive a forfeit.
Think about it logically:
The wrestler you have (injured), is better than the wrestler they have (nobody). Advantage you --- you should take the 6 points.

Blackpantherfan, you obviously have a problem with Lewisburg or coach Snyder. Your creating an issue were there is none. Coach Snyder would never do anything that would risk the health of one of his wrestlers. They new Canton would not be sending anyone out at 285. Blackpantherfan what is funny about that? Was Santorine any more likely to get hurt worse walking out to get his hand raised then he would be navigating through the halls at school?

VisionQuest of course, any Milton fan after last year's incident after the match has a problem with the Lewisburg coach's, if they knew what happened they might not be praising him either Visionquest I am glad you brought up that subject of not liking the coach, you hit the jackpot, but thats in the past let bygone's be bygone's
